Oare Village History Meeting

Oare Village Hall.

Following the successful first meeting there has been a lot of interest in capturing the history of our villages and this second meeting will look at how we should gather the information and how we should publish and keep what we gather.  If you are interested in contributing information or helping please come along.  If you cannot make the meeting but would like to be involved please contact Dee Nix 01672 562906

Wilcot war memorial will benefit from a grant of £1,830 towards the £4,380 costs from War Memorials Trust Grants Scheme supported by the First World War Memorials Programme.

The Parish Council would like to express their thanks to Cllr Smith and the War Memorials Trust for their support on this worthy project, which we hope will be completed in time for Armistice Day.

The judges congratulate Wilcot on coming a very close third in the County Round of CPRE’s Best Kept Small Village competition. As mentioned above, there was absolutely no litter to be seen anywhere in the village.
