Councillors are summoned and electors are invited to this first meeting of the Parish Council, post the elections,  on Wednesday May 14th at 7pm in Oar Village Hall.

Positions such as Chair and Vice Chair plus selecting representatives of this parish council on local Unitary Council committees such as Local Highways and Footpaths Infrastructure Group (LHFIG), will be announced.

Local elections to take place this May – Your parish needs you!

This May there will be election for Parish, Town and Unitary Councils.  A number of current councillors are standing down in this parish. Oare and Huish will need new representatives.  It is important that there are enough councillors to make  decisions for you, the electorate. So please consider serving your community.  There is a webinar being held to inform anyone who is interested on Feb 11th. Road Closure Sunnyhill Lane January 8th 2025

Temporary Closure of: C269 (Part), Wilcot, Huish, Oare and Pewsey (Ref: TTRO 9963)
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to
all traffic:
C269 (Part), Wilcot, Huish, Oare and Pewsey; from its junction with A345 to its junction
with Wick Lane.

To enable: Openreach to carry out to recover pole in verge.

Alternative route: via C269 (unaffected length) – B3087 – A345 and vice versa.
The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

This Order will come into operation on 08 January 2025 and the closure will be required
between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 1 day. It is anticipated that the works will take the
stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained
for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of
the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
