1878 - St Nicholas Church, Huish

The church is 13th century in origin, built is 1291, and is closely linked with Wilcot and Oare.

The church was rebuilt in 1785, near the foundations of the 13th-century church but in a smaller size; it was again rebuilt in 1878-9. Archaeological work has exposed an aisle chapel and other parts of the original building.

It contains the burial of John Reeve, the main character of the folklore tale– The Ghost of Pit Pond. Also the wife of the actor David Niven related to the Rollos family of Cold Blow in Oare
